
Staying in God’s Peace
Peace is one of the greatest gifts in life

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.

It’s been a pretty hectic few weeks moving out of the apartment I inhabited for three years during law school. There were a lot of emotions that rose to the surface because it really felt like the end of an era. I’m so blessed to have grown the last three years, to have experienced the miraculousness of God, and to have made such amazing memories.
Now, I am in a more peaceful and quiet environment that hopefully will prove to be very healing for me. During this crazy time, full with uncertainty, it is a blessing to be able to stay in connection with God. By staying in the peace that only He is capable of giving, we are able to be who we are intended to be.
I have personally been struggling with spiritual attacks and need to remind myself to stay rooted in the truth and focus on what really matters. At the end of the day, your ministry is your day-to-day life. With this perspective, we are able to look beyond the struggles of today and realize that we have consistently shown ourselves who we are. We don’t have to prove ourselves to others, to live in regret over the mistakes we made, or to question the worth of our contributions. God designed each of us perfectly and intends for us to live in peace and happiness.
