Thanksgiving Blessings
Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and reminiscent holiday
Happy Thanksgiving! This year, things are very different. Yet, many of us will find comfort in tradition. The pandemic has shed light and perspective onto our lives. We’ve spent more time with our families, shifted our priorities, and developed our selves.
As 2020 comes to a close, I wish everyone a blessed Thanksgiving weekend and look forward to the Advent season. We all have so much to be thankful for, it is up to us to choose a lens of gratitude.
One of my favorite exercises is a gratitude journal where I list 3 things that I am grateful for, once or twice a day. These can be little things like a beautiful sunset, or can be answered prayers. Cultivating a practice of gratitude can change the trajectory of your thoughts.
Personally, during this season, I’ve been dealing with a lot of negativity. Thanksgiving is the perfect time to reflect on all of the good things that God has blessed me with in this life. This year, I’m grateful for:
- My parents and the time I get to spend with them;
- The beautiful place I get to call home; and
- My places of worship.
What are you thankful for?
Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever.
Psalm 107:1
Wherever you are, and whatever you’re doing, I hope that God blesses you with a spirit of gratitude.
