Thrive in 2022: Intention + Goals

I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling ’22!

Looking Back on 2021

Last year, I set some goals & intentions! I feel like this year has been full of growth, and I have been so blessed by my family, friends, and experiences.

For 2021, my intention was to be more consistent. Honestly, although I fell off a few times, this year I have been the most consistent that I have been in a long time (and possibly ever) with my physical, mental, and spiritual practices. I really do believe that if you set goals, you will accomplish them… which will build your confidence and empower you to set loftier and loftier goals.

How was your 2021? Let me know in the comments below.

Looking Forward to 2022

Ultimately, we are all people on a journey of faith – growing towards God. When we choose to follow God, we discover the joy of becoming fully alive in Christ. I encourage you to set your own intention for the year and share it with us! If we are conscious of our intentions and take time to properly set and monitor them, we can increase our chances of achieving our greatest goals.

2022 Intention: Thrive

This year, for my intention, I feel God putting the word THRIVE on my heart! I attended a Christmas service with my friend at Thrive Church in Lone Tree, Colorado. It was honestly the best church experience I have had. I am not sure if that is where I got this word, but I believe that God wants every portion of our lives to flourish.

Here is a closer look at what it means to thrive:

Definition

verb

(of a child, animal, or plant) grow or develop well or vigorously.

“the new baby thrived”

Synonyms

flourish, prosper

Origin

Old Norse: thrifa (grasp, get hold of)

Middle English: thrive (grow, increase), compare with thrift (prosperity, acquired wealth, success)

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The LORD is upright; He is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in Him.”

Psalm 92:12-15

2022 Goals

  1. Financial Independence: I believe that God wants me to trust in His promises and to have faith in Him as my Provider. I am so grateful for the financial support I have received to do my work, and I am ready to take more responsibility for my finances and to continue growing in this aspect of life.
  2. Physical Presence: Ever since I gave my life to Jesus, and started this online ministry, it has been a dream of mine to create a sanctuary where people can experience God’s love in person. In 2022, I hope to make this a reality as I believe that there is power in communion.
  3. Volunteer: It has honestly been quite a while since I have volunteered with a community organization. This year, I want to engage with others more and believe that giving back is the best way to do so!
