With fast casual service, this spot is perfect for lunch.

Moku Kitchen is a Merriman’s concept in SALT Kakaako. It used to be a full-service restaurant and during COVID shifted into the fast-casual world. I love this because it makes it easier for lunch! I picked up my friend who works in Downtown Honolulu and we darted over for some nutritious food!

Moku Kitchen
Moku Kitchen is a chef-driven concept that brings Hawaii’s rich upcountry farming and ranching heritage to downtown Honolulu’s urban lifestyle. The upcountry way of life echoes a simpler time where food was locally-sourced and cooked over an open fire on the ranch. At Moku, they like to keep things simple and will serve Chef Peter Merriman’s twist on upcountry specials from their lively rotisserie oven.
You can add local fish, or other protein, to their salads or plates. They also serve the Merriman’s Mai Tai, as well as beer and wine.
When I was in school, Moku was one of our favorites for their happy hours (2pm-5:30pm) because they do 50% off of their small plates & $10 pizzas. I heard someone recently say that in Hawaii we don’t just have happy hour… we have happy hours.
