Miracles are Possible with 1 Remarkable God
God has been faithful in delivering miracles since the beginning of time!

Why should any of you consider it incredible that God raises the dead?
Acts 26:8
Acts of the Apostles is one of my favorite books to read, simply because of all of the miracles performed by people. I’ve been working through it the last few weeks and leaves me in awe. It encourages me to grow my faith in the work God can do through me. I believe that God wants us all to work miracles in this world for His glory!
When I was in a zoom Bible study with the Church of the Holy Apostles in Hilo, we talked about how the apostles were able to perform and witness things we can only dream of today. Why is that? We know that God is never-changing. He is still the powerful, miraculous God He was then. So has our faith simply waned over thousands of years?
Maybe it has. For when Jesus was in His hometown and was unable to do many miracles, it was because the people had little faith. For if we had the smallest amount of faith, we would be able to do anything.
So we can choose to spend every day searching our hearts for ways to trust in the Lord more. Maybe it has to be with your family, your health, or your finances. Where can you let God rule a little more? When you make your plans for the week, is God #1? Or is work, your children, or your friendships? Are you carving time out for God? Because really, we should make God our first priority. But it can be so easy to let the Bible reading slip when we have a million and one things to do. I encourage you to have faith in your capacity for all that God has called you to – especially your relationship with Him.
Miracles Happen by Faith
In Matthew 17, Jesus was called to drive out a demon that no one else could. Afterward, His disciples asked why none of them were able to drive it out. He replied:
Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.
Matthew 17:20
Many of us like to believe that we are strong in our faith. However, even Jesus’ closest followers failed to have the necessary faith at times. However, Jesus encourages His followers to perform miracles. He says that nothing will be impossible for those who have even the smallest amount of faith. And how amazing is it that this applies to us! If we have faith in the miraculous power of our Lord, we can literally do anything. We can heal people, like the apostles did, and we can even drive out demons.
During the time of Lent, we can recommit to putting God first in our lives. Sometimes we forget what it means to have an encounter with God where we feel that realness. However, I believe that if you are reading this – you are meant to renew your relationship with Jesus Christ so He can cleanse you and you can accomplish all that He has entrusted to you. We all have a purpose here, and I believe that our faith is the most vital ingredient to our success as vessels of the Holy Spirit in this world.
