et al.: A Comfortable Breakfast Spot Open at 6am

Foodland has so many new eateries! A friend suggested that we go to Kahala MKT. for breakfast, since they open early. I am so glad we did because it was so enjoyable! Located in the heart of Ku‘ono Marketplace at 4210 Waialae Avenue (across from Kahala Mall), Kahala MKT. features local and fresh fare. Though this space gets crowded for lunch and dinner, breakfast was pretty chill and we were one of just a few parties there. We decided to sit on the adorable palaka and lei inspired high chairs, and ordered some toast! See another local eatery.

Some of you may know that I took Latin in middle school and high school! It was my least favorite subject lol 🙂 The Latin phrase et al. means “and others,” which, to the restaurant team, speaks to the eatery’s desire to welcome and celebrate family, friends, and community.

The name of “et al.” also encapsulates the spirit of this new restaurant, which will feature a seasonal menu reflecting the melting pot of cultural ingredients and cooking techniques in Hawaii and abroad.
