The Bible teaches us that God wants us to have an abundant life. This means a life that is full of joy, peace, and prosperity. One of the ways that God wants to bless us is by healing us.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.John 10:10 KJV
The Bible says that Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, and that by His stripes we are healed. This means that when Jesus died on the cross, He took the punishment for our sins, including the punishment for our sickness and disease. When we put our faith in Jesus, we are forgiven of our sins, and we are also healed of our sickness and disease.
He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By His wounds you are healed.1 Peter 2:24 NLT
Even if you have not received your healing yet, I urge you to continue to trust in God and to pray for healing. Align yourself with His perfect will and character as a Healer.
In the meantime, there are things that we can do to help ourselves to be healed. We can:
- Rest and take care of our bodies,
- Eat a healthy diet,
- Exercise regularly,
- Surround ourselves with positive people, and
- Meditate and pray.
By doing these things, we can create an environment in our bodies and our minds that is conducive to healing.
If you are struggling with sickness or disease, I encourage you to put your faith in Jesus and to pray for healing. God wants to heal you, and He will if you trust Him.
