Last week, I embarked on a journey that was equal parts electrifying and spiritual. I spent a few nights in the heart of one of the world’s most renowned natural phenomena – the Volcanoes National Park in Hawaii.

Being in the heart of nature’s theatre, I felt a comforting sensation. The presence of the divine was surreal, a loving presence that held me close as I navigated closer to the new earth. I was transported back to 2019 when God had pulled me aside for an unforgettable summer. The memories of the solitary walks and drives that year flooded back, each one a testament to the bond I had nurtured while alone with the Lord. These were the times when it was just God and me, a heavenly respite that allowed for rest and reflection.

Volcanoes National Park offered me an epiphany: these awe-inspiring moments of wonder serve as poignant reminders of God’s unwavering presence in our lives. Despite the forceful omnipotence, there was a gentle side to the Lord, always patiently waiting for us to open our hearts. A sense of immense gratitude washed over me, mirroring the immense power of the volcano that stood before me.
