Maui Strong: A Time for Prayer and Support
Here is how you can help…

The recent wildfires on Maui have been devastating, destroying homes, businesses, and historic landmarks. In the midst of this tragedy, it is important to remember the power of prayer and support.
As Christians, we know that God is with us in times of trouble. He is our refuge and strength, and He will never leave us or forsake us (Psalm 46:1). We can pray for the victims of the fire, asking God to comfort them, provide for their needs, and give them hope for the future.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
Psalm 23:1-4
In addition to praying for the victims of the fire, there are many ways to help them in practical ways. One of the best ways to do this is to donate directly to those who need immediate aid from being displaced.
A Drive Link to a spreadsheet with all the families and their GoFundMe/Venmo information can be found here:
I want to especially ask for your support for The Bayudan Family. Krystille and her family have always been especially kind to me, and invited me into the community – making me feel at home when I spent the summer there alone (it was really the first time I had ever done “solo travel”).
When donating to relief organizations, it is important to make sure that your donation is going to a legitimate source. You can do this by checking the organization’s website or calling them directly.
We can also show our love for our neighbors by volunteering at a relief center, donating food or clothing, or simply lending a listening ear. The Maui Fires have been a tragedy, but they have also been a time for people to come together and support each other. As those who care, we can show our love for our neighbors by praying for them, donating to relief organizations, and offering our time and talents.
The Maui Fires have been a devastating event, but we can all do our part to help the victims. By praying for them, donating to relief organizations, and offering our time and talents, we can show our love for our neighbors and make a difference in their lives. Thank you for all that you do to make this world a better place, to support others during their times of need, and to share this important information.
